Parsons Takes Helm of Hill & Knowlton's New York Office

Kelli Parsons, general manager of the Washington, D.C., office of Hill & Knowlton since 2005, is joining the firm’s New York office as executive vice president and general manager. She continues to serve on the U.S. executive committee, reporting to Paul Taaffe, chairman and CEO.

NEW YORK—Kelli Parsons, general manager of the Washington, D.C., office of Hill & Knowlton since 2005, is joining the firm’s New York office as executive vice president and general manager. She continues to serve on the U.S. executive committee, reporting to Paul Taaffe, chairman and CEO, and also retains responsibility for the Washington operation. Parsons provides counsel to business and government leaders, with a focus on reputation management at the intersection of business, media and public policy. Her expertise spans corporate communications, media relations and public affairs. She has led assignments for clients including Compaq, Continental Airlines, DHL, Exxon, HP, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Tyco and foreign governments, advising Pakistan’s leaders in the aftermath of the devastating South Asia earthquake in 2005. Parsons joined Hill & Knowlton in 1998, serving as a global client leader in the firm’s Houston office and then corporate practice director in Washington, D.C. A former award-winning journalist, Parsons appeared on NBC News, CBS News and CNN for assignments ranging from political campaign coverage and business news to reporting from Sarajevo during the conflict in Bosnia. Parsons replaces Tom Reno, who left to become president of North American operations for Text 100 in August of last year.
