Award-winning public relations consultancy leaders from across Europe are among the first announced jury members for the 2012 SABRE Awards competition. Senior executives from SABRE-winning firms including All Channels Communications of Bulgaria, Blue Rubicon of the UK, Agence Elan of France, and Jung Relations of Sweden will be among more than 40 judges evaluating this year’s entries. Alexander Dourchev is chief executive of All Channels Communications, which has won four SABRE Awards over the years, for work that ranges from cause-related marketing on behalf of longtime client Avon to a publicly-funded campaign against human trafficking. Dourchev, who started the firm in 2001, also serves as chairman of the Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies. Chris Jones is one of the founding partners of Blue Rubicon, which has been honored with 20 trophies in the SABRE Awards. He has worked on award-winning campaigns for clients such as GlaxoSmithKline, McDonald’s and Unilever. Prior to launching Blue Rubcon, Chris enjoyed a 12-year journalism career that included positions at the BBC, ITN and Thomson Regional Newspapers. Marion Darrieutort is president and CEO of Agence Elan, a three-year old French firm that won the Platinum SABRE Award for the best EMEA region PR campaign of the year for its work on L’Oreal’s 100th anniversary celebration during its first year in business. Prior to launching Elan, Marion was director general of the French operations of Edelman and of TBWA/Corporate. David Becker is a planner at Jung Relations, a Swedish public relations firm that has been recognized at recent SABRE ceremonies for its creative work on behalf of clients such as Absolut Vodka, adidas and Volvo.
