COLUMBUS, OH— Meisel Design Office, a 17-year-old creative consultancy, is becoming part of Ohio public relations and public affairs firm Paul Werth Associates. Sanford Meisel will become creative director for Werth and will be responsible for overseeing marketing consulting services, including brand development and advertising as well as video, interactive and collateral design.

The move follows Werth’s acquisitions of the Haunty Agency in September 2004 and of MMD Research in December 2005, designed to enable the firm to provide a more comprehensive and integrated range of marketing consulting services in response to a growing demand from the firm’s Ohio-based and national clients.

Meisel spent 14 years with Columbus Monthly magazine as design director and associate publisher before starting his own communication design consulting practice. He is also a past president of the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts. Meisel Design Office clients have included Honda of America, Nationwide, The Ohio State University College of Education, Ohio Supercomputer Center and Columbus Public Schools.
