Safeguard Scientifics, which provides growth capital for life sciences and information technology companies, has named John Shave vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, responsible for developing, implementing and managing all aspects of the company’s corporation communications.

WAYNE, Pa—Safeguard Scientifics, which provides growth capital for life sciences and information technology companies, has named John Shave vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, responsible for developing, implementing and managing all aspects of the company’s corporation communications, strategic investor relations and marketing communications programs. Shave joins Safeguard from The Reynolds & Reynolds Company, a billion dollar software and services company, where he was vice president, investor relations. Previously, he was managing partner at National Public Relations, a full-service investor relations and corporate communications consultancy. Earlier he was director, investor relations at Thomson Financial/Georgeson & Company.

WALTHAM, MA—Digital Influence Group, which provides social media marketing services, has hired Aaron Hughes as vice president and creative director.  Hughes will direct creative work from concept and project planning through production. Previously, Hughes spent ten years at Digitas, a global interactive services agency.

OSHKOSH, WI—Oshkosh Truck Corporation has hired Patrick Davidson in the newly created position of vice president of investor relations. In this role, Davidson will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the corporation’s investor relations program. This position reports to Charlie Szews, Oshkosh’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Before coming to Oshkosh Truck, Davidson served in a variety of leadership positions at Harley-Davidson, Inc., the world-leader in heavyweight motorcycle production, where he worked in operations, international marketing, purchasing, and investor relations.

SAN JUAN, PR—Doral Financial Corporation, a diversified financial services company, has named Olga Mayoral-Wilson as corporate communications director. Olga Mayoral-Wilson has served in high level public relations and corporate communications positions for nearly 25 years, most recently at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico as senior vice president and manager of public relations and communications.

PORTLAND, OR—Tripwire, a leader in change auditing software, has promoted the company’s senior director of marketing, Rob Warmack, to vice president of product marketing and communications, responsible for corporate marketing, product management and marketing communications.

BOSTON—360 Public Relations has added Courtney Curzi, previously of Manning Selvage & Lee, as account supervisor in its entertainment and lifestyle practice group.
