Commercial Vehicle Group has hired John Hyre as director of investor relations and corporate communications, responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of CVG’s investor and shareholder communications.

NEW ALBANY, OH—Commercial Vehicle Group has hired John Hyre as director of investor relations and corporate communications, responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of CVG’s investor and shareholder communications. He will also manage media relations and crisis communications for the company and oversee the coordination and integration of CVG’s internal and marketing communications with its corporate and financial communications efforts.  Before joining CVG, Hyre was senior vice president at Dix & Eaton. Prior to that, he held various investor relations and corporate communications positions at Roadway Corporation.

NEW YORK—Investor relations firm Lippert/Heilshorn & Associates has added Dolores Naney as vice president of public relations for the company. Naney will be responsible for the development of media relations programs in support of the firm’s clients’ business and communication objectives. She joins LHA from Rubenstein Public Relations where she provided media outreach support on behalf of the firm’s business-to-business clients. In addition, she has held account management positions at several leading public relations agencies including Weber-Shandwick (when it was BSMG Worldwide) and Porter-Novelli. 

ALBANY, NY—Brendan Kennedy has joined Sawchuk Brown Associates as director of new media. He will lead SBA’s initiative to capitalize on the impact of second-generation web tools such as streaming video, podcasts, blogs, RSS feeds, HTML emails and consumer-generated media that are increasingly critical in public relations campaigns.  Prior to joining SBA, Kennedy was a senior developer at the Columbia House DVD club in New York City, where he managed a series of multi-million dollar direct email campaigns.

ST. LOUIS—Standing Partnership has added Loren Wassell as a vice president to support client service and build depths in the firm’s crisis management and issues capabilities. Wassell joins the firm with more than 20 years of corporate communications experience at Anheuser-Busch, Monsanto, Solutia, Caterpillar and AmerenCILCO. The firm also promoted Amber Morris and Marijean Jaggers to senior account managers.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Widmeyer Communications has hired Kathy Gerber who will serve as a senior associate in the firm’s rapidly growing healthcare practice. Gerber brings more than a decade of strategic public relations experience to Widmeyer. Prior to joining the firm, she held senior account positions for several New York City public relations agencies including Geltzer & Geltzer PR, Gibbs & Soell, and most recently, Kellen Communications.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—GYMR Public Relations has hired Virginia Bader as vice president to provide oversight and strategic counsel for professional association, non-profit and industry clients. Previously, Bader worked as an account manager in Porter Novelli Washington’s health and social marketing practice. The firm has also added Amy Levey as an account supervisor.
