Personnel moves at Bromley Communications, M Silver, Coyne, French/West/Vaughan, RL Public Relations, Scott PR, BPZ Energy and Platinum Polymer Technologies.

SAN ANTONIO—Joseph Pantigoso, has been named vice president and managing director of Hispanic marketing communications firm Bromley Communications and will head the agency’s New York office. Pantigoso fills a new position created in response to the agency’s growth in New York since it acquired Publicis Sanchez & Levitan in 2004. Pantigoso began his advertising career at Lintas in New York and also worked at Ogilvy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson. Most recently, Pantigoso spent seven years with Landor Associates as executive director for the Latin American region and managing director in Mexico City.

NEW YORK—M. Silver Associates has promoted Rosalie Hagel to executive vice president and South Florida branch manager. Hagel joined M. Silver’s New York office in 1994 with a background in corporate and consumer public relations and opened the agency’s South Florida office in 1999. Located in Fort Lauderdale, the office serves travel and tourism clients and also features a Hispanic specialization.

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Coyne Public Relations has added Chris Brienza as vice president. Prior to Coyne, Brienza was the executive director of publicity for Rodale, where he was responsible for all of the publicity in the sports group magazine brands. Before joining Rodale, Brienza was vice president of media relations for the National Basketball Association and vice president of communications for the NY/NJ MetroStars. The firm has also added three account coordinators.

LOS ANGELES—RL Public Relations + Marketing, a national Hispanic public relations firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York, has promoted Sandra Zuluaga to vice president for its New York office. Zuluaga will continue to provide strategic client counsel and develop and execute Hispanic public relations campaigns for clients such as Heineken USA and GlaxoSmithKline, while contributing to RLPR’s business development efforts.

LOS ANGELES—Scott Public Relations, an independent public relations agency specializing in technology, insurance and healthcare, has hired Cheryl Renton as manager of technology account
development. Renton was most recently a member of the firm’s Council of Experts, a group of senior industry, communication and media leaders and former clients. Earlier, she was a strategic consultant to various technology and  automotive clients, as well as global public relations manager for Xircom.

HOUSTON—Oil and gas exploration and production company BPZ Energy has named Greg Smith director of investor relations and corporate communications. Immediately prior to joining BPZ Energy, Smith was the publisher of the Oil & Gas Financial Journal, a publication of PennWell Corporation. Earlier, he was group publisher at Hart Energy Publishing where he worked on publications specific to the oil, gas, power and pipeline markets.

RALEIGH, NC—French/West/Vaughan has named Carol Nix senior vice president, marketing services, with responsibility for overseeing all of the agency’s creative and emerging media services. FWV also promoted Evan Howell to senior account supervisor and Sarah Allen to account supervisor.

NEW YORK—Plastinum Polymer Technologies Corporation has named Paul Hayes as director of communications. Hayes will lead the company’s investor and public relations activities. Prior to joining Plastinum Polymer Technologies, Hayes was director of marketing communications at, a middleware developer for game technology.
