NEW YORK, May 14—Five new clients, including divisions of Procter & Gamble and Sony Electronics have selected PepperCom to provide public relations counsel. The combined wins represent more than $750,000 in annualized billings.

The firm has already started work for Sony’s broadcast and professional group, the company’s largest business-to-business unit. The firm handled media relations for Sony at the NAB, a major broadcast trade show, securing placements in top tier media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. “We had never received that kind of coverage before,” according to a Sony spokesperson, who said the PepperCom assignment would run through July, but could run longer.

The agency is also working for the Procter & Gamble Venture Fund, the consumer products company’s venture arm for Internet-related initiatives, focused on areas such as women’s health, nutrition, 50-plus consumers, e-tailing technologies, and employee/stakeholder systems.

Other new wins include Dymo, the global leader in labeling and identification products; Gladwyne Software Surety, a provider of risk management software for Global 1000 e-commerce sites; and AppGate, a global provider of network and computer security.
“These wins reflect our agency’s ability to go ‘up-market’ and partner with some of the top corporations in the world,” says PepperCom partner Steven Cody.
