NEW YORK—Jonathan Hershberg, a former management supervisor at PepperCom, has launched Opus Associates, a consulting group “dedicated to the development of outstanding written communications systems for business.”

According to Hershberg, poor writing often results in lost money—whether in the form of sales not closed, wasted time, dissatisfied clients or damaged relationships, and many corporate employees, talented and capable in their areas of expertise, are not up to the task of writing effectively enough to adequately support their brand.

“Writing is perhaps the one skill common and crucial to success in almost any field, but there is a very real lack of ability among many of today’s otherwise talented professionals,” Hershberg says.  “Unclear writing fosters misunderstanding.  It wastes time within an organization, and it slows teams down.  The end result makes itself known on the bottom line.”

Opus will quickly improve individual employees’ comfort and skill with the written word, while at the same time helping to streamline the organization’s editorial processes, Hershberg says.
