Perdue Names DeYoung to Lead Corporate Communications

Perdue Farms, which produces the leading brand of fresh chicken in the United States, has hired Julie DeYoung as vice president of corporate communications.

SALISBURY, MD—Perdue Farms, which produces the leading brand of fresh chicken in the United States, has hired Julie DeYoung as vice president of corporate communications, responsible for the company’s communications and public affairs department, including media and community relations, internal and external communications and corporate contributions.

Additionally, DeYoung will provide strategic analysis to the executive management team on a wide range of communications issues.

DeYoung was most recently senior director of corporate communications and public affairs at ConAgra Foods headquarters in Omaha. She joined ConAgra in 1999 and held various communications positions within the refrigerated and deli food groups as well as corporate communications. Prior to ConAgra, DeYoung worked at National Turkey Federation, and at public relations agencies Rhea & Kaiser, Fleishman-Hillard, and Bader Rutter & Associates.
