GERRARDS CROSS, UK--Former Microsoft comms director Pete Devery has joined Citrix Systems as director of communications for the EMEA region.

Devery arrives at the software giant after leaving Microsoft at the end of 2011 following a decade-long stint at the latter company, culminating in the role of EMEA PR lead.

At Citrix, he succeeds former EMEA comms head Paul Dobson, who is now an SVP at WPP’s Team Dell unit. Devery reports to Citrix’s senior director of corporate communications, Eric Armstrong.

Before joining Microsoft UK in 2001, Devery spent two years as an associate director at Bell Pottinger. Prior to that, he worked on the PlayStation brand for both MacLaurin Media and in-house at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
