DUSSELDORF—Pleon, has launched a new in-house publishing and multimedia group. The agency has brought together 72 specialists from four existing teams—creation, media relations, online relations and editorial—into one group that will serve as an in-house resource to Pleon offices and clients, providing a more comprehensive approach to new media and multi-geographic communications.
Germany’s CEO Frank Behrendt says the new practice will allow Pleon to better retain knowledge and core competencies within the organization. “Our goal is to make the specialized knowledge that exists within the company available to all Pleon offices, especially in markets where such knowledge is not available locally.”
The new group will draw upon the knowledge of events and public affairs specialists, art directors, editorial journalists, web programmers, and media experts and bring their collective resources to bear for international and local market clients. It will also streamline inherent content overlaps between specialized disciplines like podcasts, a product of both online relations and media relations.
