NEW YORK—Porter Novelli has launched a US healthcare payor and policy advisory board, a group of senior executives that will supplement the firm’s expertise in the US and European payor and policy landscape as clients seek new solutions to access and health reform issues.

“Over the past year, we have seen a significant increase in our work helping clients communicate and create value as healthcare reform and rising costs challenge worldwide focus,” says Henry Engleka, senior vice president of Porter Novelli global health and wellness.  “The PPAB will provide our clients with access to thought leaders who are helping to reshape the health system.”

In March 2014, Porter Novelli launched a European payor panel through its Paradigm Communications Company. The research community of payors across 15 countries, in partnership with Kiosk Information Systems, a leader in self-service solutions, offers insights into market access challenges and opportunities across individual or multiple markets.

Members of the US board include Amy Knapp, vice chairman, board of directors, Affinity Health Plan, New York; Robert  Battista, CEO, Doctor Evidence, Los Angeles; and Robert Coughlin, president and CEO, MassBio, Boston.
