LONDON--Consumer electronics giant Bang & Olufsen has appointed Porter Novelli to handle its U.K. public relations activity. Porter Novelli will focus on both consumer and trade media and will deliver creative brand campaigns, product promotion, executive visibility, thought leadership and coordinated support for B&O’s network of franchise stores throughout the UK.
The account will be led from Porter Novelli’s London office by Lucy Melling, director of the firm’s consumer marketing division.

Bang & Olufsen is best known for its music systems and loudspeakers, but also makes televisions, telephones and multimedia products. It employs more than 2,400 people and sells its products in more than 60 countries, generating revenues of €502m.
