MORRISTOWN, NJ—Honeywell has selected Tom Buckmaster, vice president of corporate communications, for its 2006 Senior Leadership Award, the company’s highest internal award. Five of Honeywell’s top 250 leaders are selected to receive the award annually.

Buckmaster was recognized for his substantial accomplishments in defining the Honeywell brand inside and outside the company. Under his leadership, the company implemented a master brand strategy that increased Honeywell-branded products from less than 70 percent to more than 90 percent of the company’s portfolio. Comprehensive global brand standards were implemented, redesigning everything from advertising and sales tools to employee newsletters and visual workplace materials.

“Tom has made tremendous progress during the past several years in defining and strengthening our company’s brand through consistent standards and communications,” said Adriane Brown, president and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems, as she presented him with the award at the company’s annual leadership meeting. “The result has been a more consistent and powerful position in the marketplace for all our master-branded products, solutions and services.”

Buckmaster, who also serves as president of Honeywell Hometown Solutions, was also recognized for the company’s community outreach efforts.
