FRANKFURT—Ernst Primosch, who joined Hill & Knowlton Germany as chief executive six months ago, has been named chairman.

Primosch, former global corporate vice president of the home care and cosmetics company Henkel Group, has presided over the firm’s transition over the past months into a “sectors & services” organizational structure, which is being rolled out throughout its EMEA region. The transition has been supported by the appointment of a new team of senior consultants at Hill & Knowlton in Germany as well as the launch of the iComms digital and online marketing and public relations brand.

Hill & Knowlton’s former chairman in Germany, Detlev Geiger, has chosen to step aside from his management role earlier than originally planned. He will remain as a senior special advisor to the company and its clients. A new leader for the healthcare sector, formerly led by Geiger, will be announced shortly.
