SAN FRANCISCO—Weber Shandwick has added Jeremy Pepper, a nine-year technology PR veteran who founded Phoenix-based POP! Public Relations in 2003, to its Northern California team. Pepper’s POP! PR Jots is currently one of the top 20 most popular PR blogs, and is ranked in the top 15 percent of the world’s most actively linked blogs.

Pepper will serve as group manager in Weber Shandwick’s San Francisco office, working closely with agency clients including Agilent, BEA Systems, Cisco and Hitachi to develop and drive online communications strategies.

According to Tim Marklein, executive vice president and general manager of Weber Shandwick, Northern California, Pepper will continue to write his blog at his new firm: “Jeremy’s insights and experience in technology PR, consumer campaigns and online communications strategies are a great fit,” Marklein says.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Pepper was founder and president of POP! Public Relations, and managed national media and blogging programs for Arizona and California corporations. Before that, he served as PR manager for Ofoto, a division of Eastman Kodak. He also worked at San Francisco boutique B/E Communications and with the Cure Breast Cancer.
