NEW YORK—Prosek Partners, a mid-sized independent corporate communications firm, has promoted Thomas Rozycki (pictured) to managing director and Brian Schaffer to practice leader, transaction services.

Rozycki joined Prosek Partners in 2005 to expand the firm’s investor relations capabilities. Since then, he has also grown the firm’s social media offerings and worked with a number of Prosek’s financial services clients. Rozycki‘s new role will include additional firm-wide operational responsibilities and business development efforts, in addition to his responsibilities as a senior member of the firm’s crisis communications team.

Schaffer, who joined the agency in 2007, will lead the firm’s investor relations and transaction teams, working on M&A, hostile takeover attempts, proxy contests, IPOs and privatizations. Prosek finished just outside the top 10 on mergermarket’s ranking of 2012 M&A advisors, handling 22 deals worth in excess of $11 billion.
