WASHINGTON, D.C.— Trevor Neilson, former executive director of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis & Malaria, has joined APCO Worldwide as senior advisor and will also serve on the firm’s international advisory council. An expert on global health and corporate responsibility, Neilson specializes in helping corporations and nongovernmental organizations navigate complex problems. He will assist APCO clients with strategic planning, communication and business diplomacy.
Previously, Neilson was director of public affairs and special projects at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he was responsible for grant-making, government relations and public affairs and served as the Foundation’s spokesperson, managing relationships with the United Nations, governments, corporations and NGOs.
He also served in the Clinton White House in the Office of Scheduling and Advance, and the White House Travel Office.
