Publicis Acquires Additional Stake in Capital MS&L

Publicis Groupe, through its international public relations network Manning Selvage & Lee, has acquired an additional 21 percent stake in financial communications specialist Capital MS&L, giving it a majority ownership of 51 percent.

PARIS—Publicis Groupe, through its international public relations network Manning Selvage & Lee, has acquired an additional 21 percent stake in financial communications specialist Capital MS&L, giving it a majority ownership of 51 percent. The acquisition is designed to strengthen Publicis Groupe’s financial communications and investor relations offer internationally and to support Capital’s continuing growth.

At the same time, Publicis will consolidate its U.K.-based financial PR and investor relations operations within Capital MS&L, which will keep its name. Nick Bastin, who was hired by Publicis Consultants in March 2005 to establish a U.K.-based financial PR and IR practice, will join Capital as a director.

Capital was founded in May 2001 and has worked on behalf of clients including Procter & Gamble, Deutsche Telekom and NTT DoCoMo.
