Qorvis Adds 12 to Team

Qorvis Communications has added 12 new employees, including managing director Michael Hillegass, who joins the firm to pilot its new government contract business development.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Qorvis Communications has added 12 new employees, including managing director Michael Hillegass, who joins the firm to pilot its new government contract business development. He brings more than 10 years experience in business development and business strategy in the public, private and military sectors,

 

Prior to joining Qorvis, Hillegass spent almost a decade supporting strategic communication and public affairs efforts on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense

 

In addition, the firm has added senior director Jessica Bayer, formerly of Burson-Marsteller, to lead its staffing and recruiting efforts; and directors Rebecca Bou Chebel, a former CNN producer and USAID public affairs officer with extensive experience in the Middle East, who most recently worked at Rand Corp., and Katie Barr, who returns to Qorvis from a full-service media firm, specializing in multimedia and strategic communications.

 

Other new additions include senior associates Laura Woods, Robel Kassa and Ryan Pittman; associates Maria Abad, Nasreen Qureshi, Megan Kirkpatrick and Kaitlin Vignali; and associate analyst Michael Hutshneker.
