WASHINGTON, D.C.—WPP-owned government affairs firm Quinn Gillespie & Associates has hired Matthew Dornic as a director in the QGA Communications practice. The addition of Dornic is part of a planned expansion of QGA's strategic communications and public affairs capacity, which includes the integration of 3 Dog Agency, the media strategy boutique founded by Dornic in 2007.
Dornic has more than 10 years of experience in entertainment, news and online media. As president and founder of 3 Dog Agency, he was responsible for business development, agency operations and acted as account director for web and entertainment clients such as how-to video site MonkeySee.com; DIY website giant Webs.com; online shopping portal, Ebates.com; and TriBeCa award-winning feature film, War Child.
Before 3 Dog Agency, Domic was the manager of media relations and creative services for Anystream, where he spearheaded client, partner and corporate communication initiatives with organizations like MTV, MLB.com, IFC, Temple University, CNN, Arizona State University, Verizon and Case Western School of Medicine. He guided the company through two corporate acquisitions, multiple product launches and several business unit rebranding initiatives.
Domic is a former broadcast journalist, the co-editor of mediabistro's FishbowlDC blog and a columnist for Capitol File magazine.
