CAMBRIDGE—Two W2 Group companies, Digital Influence Group and Racepoint Group, are providing social media marketing and public relations support respectively for “Burma: It Can’t Wait,” a 30-day campaign launched by The Human Rights Action Center and the U.S. Campaign for Burma to help build a million-person movement to free Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi and the people of Burma.

Digital Influence Group has designed a social media campaign within social media shopping site Fanista at www.burmaitcantwait.org. During each day in May, a different video will appear with celebrities—including Will Ferrell, Ellen Page, Anjelica Huston, Judd Apatow, and Jennifer Aniston—urging viewers to share the site with their friends and to join the U.S. Campaign for Burma.

Racepoint has worked with Fanista on messaging for the campaign and is now conducting outreach to diverse media including consumer, entertainment, technology, top-tier business reporters and bloggers. For bloggers, the outreach contains video embed codes to make it easy for them to post the daily video vignettes on their sites.
