GENTOFT—Danish foreign affairs and business journalist Samuel Rachlin has been appointed to the newly created position as executive director of corporate communications for Saxo Bank.

One of Denmark’s most recognizable on-air personalities, Rachlin comes to Saxo Bank from Danish TV2, where he has served as the network’s first anchorman for the evening news and later became the station’s first Washington correspondent. Rachlin also served as spokesman and media advisor at the Washington D.C. headquarters of the World Bank in the late 90s before returning to TV2 as the network’s Moscow correspondent.

At Saxo Bank, Rachlin will lead the formation and guidance of strategic messaging and public relations with external media partners, and will further develop the bank’s internal communication function.
