NEW YORK—Ketchum has named partner Paul Rand to the position of global chief development and innovation officer. Rand has been the agency’s global technology practice director and managing director of Ketchum Chicago. He joined Ketchum in 2001 when the agency acquired his Corporate Technology Communications firm, then the Midwest’s leading independent technology and corporate agency.
Among his new responsibilities, Rand will continue to bring to market products and services aimed at furthering the agency’s growth and ensuring continued excellence in helping clients meet their business goals. He also will continue to serve as the senior leader to several major clients.

During the past year and a half, Rand helped develop and introduce three new products to the agency and its clients: Ketchum Influencer Relationship Management, Women 25to54 and, most recently, Ketchum Personalized Media, a global service that advises organizations to recognize how, why and when to integrate the growing roster of online and wireless media—from blogs and podcasts to mobile marketing—into their overall communications strategy.
