LONDON — Cohn & Wolfe has promoted UK consumer head Rebecca Grant to managing director of its UK operation, which has doubled in size since her arrival in 2011.

Grant, who joined Cohn & Wolfe from Weber Shandwick, will retain her role as the firm's EMEA consumer marketing head and will continue to report into EMEA MD and UK CEO Scott Wilson. A new UK consumer marketing MD will arrive at Cohn & Wolfe next month.

Grant's promotion comes after five consecutive years of double-digit growth at Cohn & Wolfe UK, driven in significant part by the firm's consumer marketing business. Cohn & Wolfe made the Holmes Report's EMEA Consumer Consultancy of the Year shortlist in both 2015 and 2014.

"Our UK consumer marketing business has been on fire, with revenue tripling over the last four years," said Wilson. "During this period, Rebecca has been at the forefront of driving our wider agency transformation, and much of our success has been founded on a commitment to placing collaboration, creativity and digital at the heart of everything we do."

As well as serving as UK MD, Grant will continue to oversee a number of key Cohn & Wolfe clients including Pfizer, Twinings, Danone and Treasury Wine Estates.

"Cohn & Wolfe’s reputation in the UK is growing exponentially and I am delighted to have played my part in the agency’s wider success," said Grant. "What is particularly gratifying is the growing number of clients – from consumer healthcare to food and drink to consumer technology to financial services – who have bought into our philosophy and are increasingly looking to Cohn & Wolfe to be a true custodian of their brands, from promotion to protection."
