NEW YORK— Edward Reilly, leader of the North American operations of FD, has been appointed global chief executive officer and Geoffrey Pelham-Lane, who leads the U.K. headquarters office, has been appointed global president. Reilly replaces Charles Watson, who was appointed global chairman of the firm in October and will take up his new role January 1.

As global CEO, Reilly will assume leadership for the strategic communications subsidiary of management consulting firm FTI Consulting, with responsibilities for leading international client and business development. He will also coordinate the continued integration of the segment within FTI Consulting globally.

As global president, Pelham-Lane will assume leadership responsibility for FD’s various businesses around the world and will oversee the development and growth of the segment’s global and diverse team of senior communications advisors.

Reilly and Pelham-Lane will join FTI’s executive committee, which is comprised of the segment leaders and the heads of key corporate support functions.

“Both Ed and Geoffrey’s leadership have been critical to the firm’s growth and success for many years and we are thrilled that they will now be assuming these broader responsibilities,” says Jack Dunn, president and chief executive officer of FTI Consulting. “We look forward to their continued success in growing and expanding the highly successful business and unmatched talent that exists within this important segment of our firm.”
