CHICAGO—Res Publica Group, formed last summer when Guy Chipparoni acquired the public affairs group of Kemper Lesnik Communications, has hired Dennis Culloton, former press secretary to Governor George H. Ryan, as executive vice president.

Culloton will have responsibility for day-to-day operations, while also focusing on new client development.

“With the critical public policy challenges faced today by individuals, companies and not-for-profit organizations, institutional knowledge, experience and depth have become much more critical,” says Chipparoni. “The key to providing those clients with exceptional service relies on professionals with that experience and the ability to operate under fire. No one demonstrates those attributes better than Dennis.”

Before working with Ryan, Culloton was the communications director and chief administrative officer of the Chicago Department of Aviation and communications manager for Chicago 96, the host committee for the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
