Reuter to Lead Communications for Nissan Americas

Nissan Americas has named David Reuter vice president, corporate communications. Most recently Reuter was senior director, Nissan Americas, responsible for ensuring alignment across the corporate, product and internal communications functions.

FRANKLIN, TN—Nissan Americas has named David Reuter vice president, corporate communications. Most recently Reuter was senior director, Nissan Americas, where he was responsible for ensuring alignment across the corporate, product and internal communications functions.

Reuter joined Nissan in May of this year as director, corporate communications from Bentley Motors, where he was head of PR and communications. He brings international expertise that includes assignments in Tokyo, Japan and Cologne, Germany.

Reuter’s communications career began at Event Management Corporation in 1994 where he worked as an account executive for a number of automotive clients including Michelin Tire and the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. In 1994 he joined Ford as a communications assistant and spent 12 years in a series of communications roles.

In May 2006 Reuter was named Bentley’s communications general manager for the Americas and in September 2008 became head of PR and communications following the company’s headquarters relocation from Detroit to Boston.
