RALEIGH, October 19—Richard French & Associates has been awarded a two-year, $1.4million contract from North Carolina’s Rural Internet Access Authority. The ‘e-NC’ campaign will encourage North Carolina residents—particularly those in rural parts of the state—to utilize the Internet to improve the quality of their lives and connect to a better future.

“This may be one of the most critical undertakings in this state’s history,” says Rick French, president and chief executive officer of RF&A. “The significance of this initiative is indisputable, and we feel honored to be a part of the effort.”

Having kicked off the e-NC campaign on September 26 through six concurrent meetings held across the state, RF&A is working to raise awareness through grant and award publicity, coalition-building and grassroots efforts. RF&A also is working with West & Vaughn, the advertising firm it acquired in August, on creative and public service elements of the effort.

The account is the most significant to date for RF&A’s recently formed public affairs practice.
