LOS ANGELES—Nikki Parker, owner of independent film and television publicity company Denmead Marketing, has joined entertainment public relations specialist Rogers & Cowan as an executive vice president. The move brings Denmead’s staff, including publicists Dennis Dembia and Schalah Mitchell, and its client roster under the Rogers & Cowan banner.

Those clients include such high profile entertainment companies as Graham King’s Initial Entertainment Group, Senator International, Lions Gate Films International, Japan’s Shochiku and Germany’s EM.TV. In addition, Denmead’s current film projects include The Aviator, The Grudge, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, and The Ballad of Jack and Rose.

Says R&C chief executive Tom Tardio, “Nikki is a highly respected professional in our industry and we are delighted that she and her company are becoming part of Rogers & Cowan. The reputation she has developed and the quality of resources she has built will accelerate our expansion into the independent film and television marketplaces.”

Parker will work with Michael Dalling, executive vice president, worldwide film publicity and marketing, whose clients include film producers, directors and film organizations based in Europe, Asia and the United States. The team promotes the collaboration of these clients for production and distribution.

Says Parker, “After 13 years, it is time to relinquish the responsibilities of running a small independent publicity company, although I’m very proud of our many accomplishments and building Denmead into an operation which attracted Rogers & Cowan to take us on.”
