NEW YORK—The Miami International Film Festival has selected Rogers & Cowan as its agency of record. The entertainment marketing and PR agency, a unit of Weber Shandwick, will launch and maintain a comprehensive publicity campaign to support the 2010 festival, scheduled for March of 2010.

Rogers & Cowan is tasked with implementing an extensive, multi-tiered campaign designed to broaden awareness and elevate the Festival’s profile in Hollywood and throughout the film community. Working closely with the Festival’s senior staff in the months leading up the Festival, Rogers & Cowan will provide strategic counsel to promote MIFF as one of the homes of innovative and exciting cinema from new filmmakers from around the world.

“We feel the agency will take us to the next level and show the world the cultural diversity and what a filmmaking center that South Florida has become,” says MIFF executive director Vivian Rodriguez

Rogers & Cowan account supervisor Joanne Schioppi will lead the MIFF team coordinating the day-to-day management of the campaign along with senior vice president Maggie Gallant.
