New Sun Beverage Company, marketer of the New Sun line of health beverages has hired Rowland Communications Worldwide as it prepares for its market-by-market introduction across the U.S.

NEW YORK, June 20—New Sun Beverage Company, marketer of the New Sun line of health beverages has hired Rowland Communications Worldwide as its agency of record to develop marketing strategies and communications as it prepares for its market-by-market introduction across the U.S.
 
“Our New Sun product will launch a new category of healthy beverages, based on a unique product concept that delivers measurable health benefits,” said Thomas Lines, founder of New Sun Beverage Company.  “Rowland Communications offers us both the creativity we need to differentiate New Sun as well as significant expertise in and understanding of the health benefits marketing environment, based on marketing and education programs they have conducted for companies in the functional foods and beverages arena.”
 
According to industry forecasters, the U.S. functional beverage market grew to nearly $5.5 billion in 2001, and the growth rate of the functional food and beverage category is reputed to be increasing an average of eight to 14 percent, annually.
