NEW YORK—Esselte, one of the world’s largest office supplies manufacturers, has retained Ruder Finn to develop and implement a strategic branding and corporate communications program. The account will be led from Ruder Finn’s New York office by executive vice president Montieth Illingworth and will focus on raising Esselte’s brand awareness and value proposition among corporate stakeholders, business partners and end-users.
Headquartered in Stamford, Conn., and with sales of approximately $1 billion in more than 120 countries around the world, Esselte is the parent company to a family of leading office product brands such as DYMO, Pendaflex, Oxford and Leitz. It was acquired by J.W. Childs, the Boston-based private equity investment firm.

Mary Trudel, Ruder Finn executive vice president, will manage global consumer branding. International programs will also be launched via Ruder Finn’s wholly owned offices and affiliate network throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.
