NEW YORK—Rx Communications Group, a financial communications firm specializing in the life science and healthcare industries, has launched OTC Communications, a new division created to address the unique needs of micro-cap life science and healthcare companies, with a particular focus on companies with a market capitalization less than $100 million.
John “Jack” McAleer joined the company as managing director of OTC Communications, for which he has overall management responsibility, including business development and client account management. McAleer most recently served as principal and owner of Berwyn Capital & Advisory, a financial advisory organization he founded in 2001. Earlier, he was managing director of capital markets for the investment banking firm of Auerbach Pollack & Richardson.
Says Rhonda Chiger, co-president of Rx Communications, “We developed this business in response to the many, smaller, quality life science and healthcare companies whose management teams have expressed to us over the years the need for access to experienced counsel and, especially, to those investors who specialize in micro-cap companies. This division will enable select micro-cap companies to gain a much-needed foothold in the investor community.”
