EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Samsung Electronics America and Samsung Telecommunications America have hired MWW Group as public relations agency of record to oversee communications initiatives across Samsung’s consumer divisions in the United States, including corporate communications and philanthropy, consumer electronics, telecommunications and information technology.

The firm was selected following a comprehensive three-month public relations review.

“Samsung was recently ranked 12th among the World’s 25 Most Innovative Companies by Boston Consulting Group in BusinessWeek,” said S.W. Hong, senior vice president, Samsung Electronics America. “When we began our search, our goal was to find a firm that possesses the creativity, personality and flexibility to match Samsung’s fast-moving and innovative culture.”

MWW will enable the company to implement coordinated communications across all of its U.S. consumer divisions, says Hong. “MWW Group has impressed us with its strategic thinking, knowledge of our industry and passion for our business.  As one of the fastest growing global brands, Samsung was looking for an agency that had experience in the United States with global companies, as well as category leadership in consumer lifestyle marketing and client satisfaction.”

The company previously worked with HWH PR and Publicis Dialog.
