NEW YORK—Edelman has named Tim Scerba, currently president and CEO of the firm’s operations in Mexico, to the additional and newly-created position of chief operating officer, Latin America. Scerba will continue to be based in Mexico City.

“One of our global initiatives is to ensure that our Latin America offering is fully serving the needs of regional and global companies that are entering or already doing business in this growing market,” said Richard Edelman, CEO, Edelman. “Our multinational and regional clients, many of which already are working with Edelman in Latin America, are looking for ways to better integrate and enhance their communications and key relationships in the region.”

Before relocating to Mexico City in 2004, Scerba established Edelman’s Latin America office in Miami and expanded the agency’s footprint into central America through its office in Panama City.
