Schacter Names President of DiGennaro

Samantha DiGennaro, CEO and founder of independent New York City-based public relations firm DiGennaro Communications, has named Howard Schacter as the agency’s first-ever president.

NEW YORK—Samantha DiGennaro, CEO and founder of independent New York City-based public relations firm DiGennaro Communications, has named Howard Schacter as the agency’s first-ever president. Schacter will be responsible for high-level client counsel, and for driving DGC’s growth in new areas including sports, entertainment, technology communications, and consumer brand marketing. He will also handle management responsibilities for the company.

 

Schacter was formerly marketing and PR chief at Steve & Barry’s, and headed corporate communications at Live Nation (then SFX/Clear Channel Entertainment). Earlier in his career he ran global corporate communications for Interpublic’s Draft and also managed communications campaigns for brands such as McDonald’s, Sony, Tommy Hilfiger and CBS Television and held agency positions with Kemper Lesnik and GolinHarris.

 

DiGennaro specializes in the marketing, media, entertainment and business sectors. Its clients include Digitas, Y&R, David & Goliath, Mr Youth and Creature.
