Schering Plough Names Barth to Lead IR Function

Schering-Plough Corporation has named Janet Barth as vice president, investor relations. In this role, Barth will be responsible for developing, implementing and continually improving a comprehensive global investor relations program for Schering-Plough.

KENILWORTH, NJ—Schering-Plough Corporation has named Janet Barth as vice president, investor relations. In this role, Barth will be responsible for developing, implementing and continually improving a comprehensive global investor relations program for Schering-Plough. She will also lead the formulation and execution of external and internal investor communications plans to support Schering-Plough's business objectives and will partner with the company's senior management team on matters pertaining to the investment community and individual shareholders.

 

She will report to Alex Kelly, group vice president, global communications and investor relations and assumes the investor relations responsibilities that were previously fulfilled by Kelly, who was named to his current expanded role in October 2007.

 

Barth most recently served as senior vice president, investor relations and corporate communications, for Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, a newly public specialty pharmaceutical company. Previously, Barth was employed for 14 years by Schering-Plough, where she held various positions of increasing responsibility, including that of director, investor relations.
