LONDON--Richard Brett is to depart his role as managing director of UK firm Shine Communications for a senior position at Ogilvy PR in Australia.

The Holmes Report understands that Brett will leave Shine at the end of September after more than four years with the agency, the last two of which have been spent as MD.

At Ogilvy PR Australia he becomes group MD, overseeing the agency's consumer offering, and reporting to  CEO Kieran Moore.

Before joining Shine in 2009, Brett was global VP of marketing communications at Samsonite. Prior to that he spent almost a decade at Ketchum.

Brett declined to comment on the move, which is expected to be announced tomorrow. Moore did not respond to request for comment.
