NEW YORK—Edelman has named Brian Sinderson as senior vice president to lead its New York-based technology and business-to-business practice. Sinderson leaves Burson-Marsteller, where he previously served as U.S. lead for the agency’s HP account and, more recently, Sony Electronics.

Sinderson will be responsible for the growth and development of Edelman New York’s technology and business-to-business practice, overseeing a 20-plus-person team that represents companies such as Symbol Technologies, T-Mobile and Canon, as well as a range of professional services firms including PwC and Clifford Chance.

Says Russell Dubner, Edelman executive vice president, added, “While the technology industry is growing strongly again, there is tremendous consolidation and fierce competition. Brian’s more than 20 years of technology and corporate public relations and marketing expertise will help clients navigate these challenges and distinguish their brand and corporate reputation in the market.”

Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Sinderson spent six years as an executive vice president at GolinHarris International, where he led the agency’s HP account team.
