LONDON—Messaging platform Slack has brought in Marlin PR to oversee PR in the UK and Europe amid continued growth.

The San Francisco startup, which has so far raised $340m from numerous well-known VCs, has tasked Marlin with corporate and technology profiling, influencer engagement, customer evidence and thought leadership across the UK and Europe.

"By solving a couple of key issues that are pain points for everyone — email and access to information — Slack transforms the way teams within businesses from start-ups and small firms to multinationals like Airbnb, eBay and Ocado Technology, communicate and work together," said Marlin PR director Ben Philipson. "Slack represents the future of work."

Slack currently counts 2m daily users, having grown its base by a factor of 10 over the past year. The company is valued at $2.8bn, making it one of the fastest-growing business applications of all time.
