Sokoloff to Lead National Media Relations at Porter

Porter Novelli has hired Sandra Sokoloff as senior vice president and director of national media relations. She will oversee the agency’s New York national media relations team and report to Michael Ramah, partner.

NEW YORK—Porter Novelli has hired Sandra Sokoloff as senior vice president and director of national media relations. She will oversee the agency’s New York national media relations team and report to Michael Ramah, partner and director of Porter Novelli’s strategic planning and research, and corporate brand strategy specialty leader.

Sokoloff has 18 years of communications experience in developing, managing and implementing media strategies and projects that resonate with journalists and has created and implemented campaigns for leading brands including Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil, Heinz and Coors.  Sokoloff also led message and media training for executives from companies including Oxford Health Plans, Allergan, Fetzer and IBM.

Most recently, Sokoloff was an executive vice president with healthcare specialist Belsito & Company and earlier was senior vice president at Magnet Communications.

Sokoloff will be part of Porter Novelli’s media relations network, which includes media teams and strategists located in offices across the United States, and across the world, who specialize in developing strategies to reach national media that cover healthcare, business, technology, public affairs and consumer news.
