MADRID—Spanish public relations boutique FJ Communications has expanded its presence in Latin America with the addition of new offices in Mexico City (Mexico) and Sao Paulo (Brazil), supplementing existing operations in Madrid and Miami.

Hugo Ariel Moreno, a technology journalist and blogger with digital PR and social networking experience who has worked with numerous consumer technology brands, will lead the Mexico operation. He previously worked with Univision.com and Mexico-fist.org

Marcelo Lins, former director of corporate communications for Dow Chemical Co. and Credicard Brazil, will lead the new Brazilian operation.

FJ Communications has recently win the Fundación Telefónica account for Spain and Latin America, and also works with clients including Visa, Google, the Economist and Grupo Telefonica. It has 15 people spread across its four offices, about half of them in the Madrid headquarters.

According to managing partner Fran Valmana (pictured), “FJ Communications wants to expand its international reach and ability to offer customized work to current and prospect clients in the growing markets of Latin America and US Hispanics. The simultaneous opening of full-service offices in Miami, Mexico and Sao Paulo reinforces this strategy.”
