WASHINGTON, D.C.— Spectrum Science Communications has hired Mary Ann Chaffee as senior vice president and managing director, public affairs and health policy. Chaffee will lead Spectrum’s public affairs staff in forecasting and navigating long-term and short-term implications of health policy for its client base. She joins Spectrum after three years as vice president at the Glover Park Group, where she advised on policy and integrated communications strategies.
Chaffee has more than 20 years of experience in public policy, spanning both houses of Congress and the executive branch. She has worked on legislation pertaining to preventive medicine, Medicaid, Medicare, childhood immunization and global health crises. She helped lead Sen. Dale Bumper’s initiative to eradicate global polio via a CDC and World Health Organization eradication program.
