Spelich Rejoins Disney to Lead Internet Group Communications

John Spelich, most recently a senior vice president in the litigation support practice at Fleishman-Hillard, has rejoined The Walt Disney Company as vice president of corporate communications in the entertainment company’s Internet group.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD—John Spelich, most recently a senior vice president in the litigation support practice at Fleishman-Hillard, has rejoined The Walt Disney Company as vice president of corporate communications in the entertainment company’s Internet group, reporting to Larry Shapiro, executive VP at the Walt Disney Internet Group and Zenia Mucha, executive VP of corporate communications at the Walt Disney Co.

Spelich will be responsible for worldwide corporate communications issues and initiatives involving Disney’s new media products and technologies including Disney.com, Disney Mobile and mDisney mobile content.

Spelich was previously corporate communications director and head of investor relations at Gateway and global news and information head at Ford, where he also served as an attorney in the automaker’s product litigation unit. Spelich first joined Disney in 2002 as vice president of communications before leaving for his current position at Fleishman in February of 2005.
