RALEIGH, NC—Premier Management Group, an entertainment, sports management and consulting firm that specializes in developing celebrity endorsements, embedded content and sponsorship deals for corporate and celebrity clients, has agreed to purchase Raleigh-based sports consulting firm Wisse Hollmann & Co.

WH&Co, a partially-owned affiliate of French/West/Vaughan, will be merged into PMG, which will become a close affiliate of FWV’s growing partner network, which includes Raleigh-based Fetzer Stephens, Campaign Connections and firms in London and Paris. The divestiture does not impact FWV’s own internal sports marketing practice.

Jay Wisse, founder and majority shareholder of WH&Co., will assume the role of senior vice president of strategic marketing for PMG and will manage a four-person team that will be embedded within FWV in order to foster a strong collaboration between FWV and the sports and entertainment shop.

FWV will provide media training and crisis counsel to the more than 20 Olympic athletes represented by PMG who are training for the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing; and will make available to its clients the athletes, celebrities and other pop culture influencers represented by PMG who have the ability to create instant buzz for a company by their use and endorsement of particular products.

“The timing of the acquisition is perfect,” says Evan Morgenstein, president of PMG. “To acquire an asset like WH&Co and integrate Jay Wisse into our marketing and sales efforts is a major coup for PMG and its celebrity and corporate clients. Additionally, this move creates a stronger bond between PMG and FWV and offers clients of both agencies a diversification of strengths within each practice.”
