SAN FRANCISCO—Greenough Communications has been selected to lead public relations efforts for Stanford University’s Center for Professional Development. Greenough will implement a series of campaigns to expand the program’s geographical reach and awareness of its domains of expertise, while promoting the SCPD vision of professional development.

The Stanford Center for Professional Development is looking to take advantage of the renewed interest in professional education among engineering, science and technology professionals who are seeking new skills and advanced degrees in response to the recent market downturn. It is also targeting corporations that are investing in further educating their employees to avoid the costs of hiring and training new employees.

“Demand for world class education programs is surging at the corporate and individual levels as companies realize the business edge offered by such curriculums, and professionals look to fill knowledge gaps,” says Joyce Rice, director of marketing for SCPD.  “Greenough readily understood these market dynamics and possessed a compelling approach to building and articulating storylines that promote our vision for professional development.”
