Stanton Crenshaw Communications has been selected to handle a public relations campaign for About.com, ranked a top 15 Internet site by Nielsen NetRatings and a leading online source for original consumer information and advice.

NEW YORK—Stanton Crenshaw Communications has been selected to handle a public relations campaign for About.com, ranked a top 15 Internet site by Nielsen NetRatings and a leading online source for original consumer information and advice. The site, which features 24 content channels managed by 500 “guides” who are experts in their respective topics, was acquired by The New York Times Company earlier this year.

Stanton Crenshaw is developing a customized public relations program designed to raise awareness of About.com as an online destination that offers more than one million pieces of original content for consumers, and as a premier site for advertisers.

The firm has handled national public relations for many leading Internet sites, including CFO.com and weather.com.
