NEW YORK—Stanton Communications has named Rick Leonard managing director of the firm’s New York office. He replaces Deobrah Radman, who opened the New York office for the Washington, D.C.-based firm in 2003 and left earlier this year to take up a similar position with CKPR.

Leonard has more than 20 years experience with public relations agencies and has counseled clients such as IBM; U.S. Trust; VISA; Accenture; Price Waterhouse; Black & Decker; AT&T; Hallmark Cards; Gillette; and Campbell Soup. Prior to joining Stanton, he directed the public relations division of David X. Manners Company in Connecticut.

Previously, Leonard led the business-to-business practice at Earle Palmer Brown in Stamford, managed b-to-b accounts at Ketchum Public Relations in New York, and spent six years in a similar capacity at Burson-Marsteller.  He began his career at Gibbs & Soell and later served as director of public relations for iSolve.com, an Internet compnay providing inventory solutions.
