JAKARTA: Stephen Lock is departing Grayling to take on the newly created position of senior technical adviser at IndoPacific Edelman.

Lock was most recently Eurasia MD and global co-head of of public affairs at Grayling. In his new role, he will work closely with IndoPacific Edelman chairman Chadd McLisky. He will also take on the newly created role as Southeast Asia public affairs head, reporting to Edelman Southeast Asia MD Bob Grove.

Lock has lived in emerging markets for a decade, and has more than 14 years experience of Russian and other CIS matters, as well as projects in the UK, EU institutions, USA, Turkey and other European countries. Indonesia becomes seventh country in which he has lived and worked.

During his career, he has focused on contentious dispute management, including cross-border litigation PR matters, and has also advised on 16 IPOs around the world.

IndoPacific Edelman was named 2010 Southeast Asia Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report.
